What's inside
Are your cookies, cupcakes and cakes actually making money? This Home Bakery Pricing & Profit Calculator costs every recipe from your real grocery prices. It then shows the true cost of each unit, the price you should charge and the profit you keep.
What it does
- Ingredients tab: enter what you paid for the bag, carton or bottle. The cost per gram, ml or piece is calculated automatically
- Recipes tab: list each batch in the units you actually bake with (cups, tbsp, tsp, grams, oz, lb, ml, each or dozen). 14 unit conversions are built in, and a check flags any unit mismatch
- Products tab: batch yield, packaging, labels, labor minutes, oven time and other costs give the TRUE cost per cookie, cupcake, loaf or whole cake
- Suggested retail price (your markup), price per dozen and wholesale price, plus payment fees, profit, margin and profit per batch
- Margin alerts flag anything below your target, losing money, or unprofitable at wholesale
- Optional "Your price" column shows the real profit at the price you charge today
- Custom Order Quote: pick products and quantities, add delivery, rush fees or a discount, and get the order total, deposit, balance due and your profit on the order

FAQ
Can I measure ingredients in cups?
The calculator works by weight (g, kg, oz, lb) and has a units table where you can add your own conversions such as cups or tablespoons for specific ingredients.
Does it make customer quotes?
Yes. The Order Quote tab builds a quote with quantities, extras, delivery and deposit that you can copy or print for a customer.
What exactly do I get?
One .xlsx spreadsheet file, delivered as an instant download link after payment. Nothing is shipped.
Does it work on a Mac or iPad?
Yes. Open it in Excel for Mac, Apple Numbers, or Google Sheets in your browser or the Google Sheets app on iPad. No macros, so nothing is blocked.
Can I use it in Google Sheets for free? Do I need Excel?
You don't need Excel. Upload the file to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets, which is free with a Google account. It also works in Excel 2010 or newer, LibreOffice and Numbers.
Is it a one-time payment?

Do I get lifetime access and free updates?

Yes. The currency symbol is editable, and you can use metric units (grams, kilograms, centimeters, kilometers) where the sheet asks for units. Prices on this site are in USD; your card converts automatically.
